THE COACHES CHRISTMAS LIST: 9 Things to Give Yourself This Holiday Season

A holiday season can be a great time to reflect on your life and make plans for the coming year. After all, the best gift you can give someone else is often the gift of yourself, whether that's in the form of hard-earned free time or new skills. Here are nine things you can give yourself this holiday season to help you reach your goals and take control of your life in 2022.

Friends are an essential part of your life, and like family, a good friendship is worth its weight in gold. Friends will help you stay on track with your new year's resolutions, support you during career changes and help keep you company when you want to be alone.

While you're making out your holiday shopping list, why not add a few items for yourself? It's your health, and while it may seem like an indulgence, eating right and staying in shape are crucial to fulfilling your goals. Even if you don't have any health or fitness goals for 2022, it doesn't hurt to get started early.

When all else fails, having a happy and successful relationship is what counts most. Nothing is more fulfilling than being able to share your life with someone who truly knows you and loves you just as you are. If your relationship isn't going well, it can be hard to look on the bright side of life, but put it at the top of your list if that is something you need right now! It doesn't matter how much money or nice things you have in life if they lack love.

Employees who are happy with their work environment are also happy with their jobs, which translates into a more comfortable, more productive workforce. A solid working space can make or break your productivity and creativity; you don't want that happening when it comes to crunch time. So, if you haven't already made improvements to your workspace over the past year, now's as good a time as any.

Family is important, but sometimes we forget how lucky we are to have them. Make sure you're spending enough time with your family, and make sure they know how much you care. If you're having trouble seeing eye-to-eye on something with a family member, consider looking at it from their perspective and listening to what they have to say—it might surprise you.

Treating ourselves well is an integral part of staying healthy. Yet many of us fall short when it comes to self-care. So, this year, consider putting some (or all) of these things on your Christmas list. It's something you deserve!

Whether it's enrolling in a class, starting a new business, or taking up a new hobby, personal development is one of my favorite gifts to give myself. It's important not only for ensuring I stay engaged and fulfilled but also for ensuring that I keep moving forward in all aspects of my life. If you need help brainstorming ideas or coming up with ways to improve your skills and abilities, look no further than Full Glass Coaching & Consulting for tons of practical ideas, skill development, and support.

Getting everything done at once is impossible. Often, we get disappointed when we don't hit our goals. That's because it doesn't consider how long these tasks actually take and how much time off you actually need to stay motivated. So, we all want more free time and flexibility—especially during special occasions like holidays and family get-togethers.

It's a simple concept, but it can make a world of difference. Be grateful for everything you have and everything you have accomplished—it will help take your mind off any troubles or problems you may be facing in life. We tend to focus on what we don't have rather than enjoying what we do, and if we approach life with gratitude, it changes our perspective and reminds us that we don't need material possessions or achievements to feel fulfilled. That sense of fulfillment is entirely within ourselves.

At Full Glass Coaching and Consulting, we can help you and your business reach these goals and any other resolutions you have set. Don’t let your goals fall short in 2022, after all, they are important to you. And me!
